Gîte Collines du Matin à Cottance - Forez Est

Discover comfortable accommodation for eight people in a renovated former farmhouse that blends rustic charm with modern style, featuring a spacious enclosed courtyard with views of rolling hills and valleys.


It is a peaceful setting—ideal for relaxation, family gatherings, scenic hikes, and exploring the local heritage of the Forez region.


On the ground floor, you will find:
- a kitchen and laundry room equipped with all necessary appliances
- a cozy living area with dining and lounge spaces, stocked with board games, coloring supplies, a library, a TV, and more
- a shower room
- a washroom with a sink
- two separate toilets.

The upper floor houses four bedrooms, a shower room, and a separate toilet.
Each bedroom features a 140cm double bed; the largest room also includes a vanity area and an additional 90cm single bed.

For your comfort, we provide: one bath towel per person, extra pillows and blankets, hangers, and storage space. Beds will be made up prior to your arrival.

Outside, you will enjoy a spacious, enclosed, south-facing courtyard with views of the Charpassonne Valley (a Category 1 fishing stream) and the rolling hills.
Various areas are at your disposal: a lounge area, a dining area, sun loungers, a barbecue, a shelter for bicycles and outdoor games, and covered parking for two cars.

Baby equipment is available upon request: cot, high chair, baby bath, potty, changing mat, toys, etc.

To get your stay off to a good start, you will find the essentials provided: toilet paper, tea towels, toiletries and cleaning products, oil, salt, pepper, etc.

From the gîte, you can enjoy nearby scenic hikes via numerous long-distance trails (including the "Terre de Tisseurs" GRP), follow the Monorail path, and explore the remarkable medieval site of Donzy.

You can enjoy local produce from nearby farms—such as cheese, vegetables, and meat—available directly at the farms or at local markets, including the fully organic Champier farm market.

Activities within 15 minutes include: treetop adventure courses, laser tag, BMX, tennis and padel, an equestrian center, fishing (200 freshwater spots), a sports complex, a swimming pool, and more.

The gîte is located 10 minutes from the town of Feurs (train station), 15 minutes from the A72 and A89 motorways, and about an hour from Saint-Étienne, Lyon, and Clermont-Ferrand.
